Petrochemical / API
TLT CO-VENT has extensive experience designing fans for API service. We are very familiar with API 560 and API 673 standards applicable to fans. Auxiliary equipment typically supplied with the fans includes motors (IEEE 841 or API 541), VFDs, circulating oil systems (API 614), steam turbines (API 611), etc…
Our engineering staff is able to provide the various analyses and fulfill the special data requirements associated with API standards. The plant and test facility can provide the specialized tests including mechanical run tests and full size shop performance tests.
An example of an API 673 ID fan supplied to a refinery. Fan Model E60D-6900 rated at 200,000ACFM (94.4 m3/s), 800 hp (598 kW) motor, modified radial tip bladed 69" (1753 mm) dia. rotor. The fan is mounted on a common arr. 7 base and includes sleeve bearings with API 614 Chapter 2 circulating oil systems.
ID booster fan for an emissions reduction project at an oil sands facility. Fan model A75D-1150 rated at 1,006,080 ACFM (475 m3/s), 4000 hp (2982 kW) motor, airfoil bladed 115" (2921 mm) dia. rotor.
